Announcing Physical Theater workshop for stage! Facilitator Uma Katju! Uma is an actor and theatre practitioner currently based in Delhi. A graduate of the Intercultural Theatre Institute (ITI), Singapore, she is drawn to traversing diverse performing arts and finding a meeting point through her practice. She has performed both nationally and internationally as an actor and vocalist. Some of her recent work includes Pallavi with Stillness with Singaporean dance company Chowk, Rakshas with the Tadpole Repertory and Woyzeck at Black Box Okhla. In 2017, Uma performed her solo work The Elephant and the Tree at the Aliwal Arts Night Crawl, Singapore with Ravindran Drama Group. She is currently a Visiting Faculty at the Performing Arts Minor program, Ashoka University. Uma is interested in ensemble work and play in theatre. In these sessions, we will take the participants through partner and group exercises and games for building listening skills, awareness and connecting through the body, leading up to creative exercises for partners and the group.
