About the Event
Mayukha – meaning a ray of light – is not just a performance, but a heartfelt celebration of Indian classical dance. This year's edition features a soulful Mohiniattam solo recital by Nayana Prakash, a disciple of Padma Bhushan Dr. Kanak Rele and Kalashree Kalamandalam C. Gopalakrishnan. 

This event is a tribute to the elegance and spiritual depth of Kerala’s traditional dance form, performed in the Nalanda Bani style – known for its grace, structure, and emotional richness.

About the Artist
Nayana Prakash is a passionate Mohiniattam exponent with deep roots in the Nalanda tradition. She is a disciple of Padma Bhushan Smt. Dr. Kanak Rele and continues her journey under the guidance of Kalashree Kalamandalam C. Gopalakrishnan (Nalanda Nrityakala Mahavidyalaya). Her work reflects a blend of discipline, devotion, and creative exploration.
