Crocodiles are nocturnal and will be at their active best during night. The cool evening breeze & the cover of darkness brings out a secret side of crocodiles often not witnessed during the day. Territorial disputes, breeding activity and general high excitement around the ponds are commonly experienced on night safaris. Lights will be turned off & all the guests would be given torch lights and escorted around crocbank by trained guides. The highlight of the safari would be the sight of hundreds of glowing yellow croc eyes in the torch light. The entire experience will sure enthrall any adventure junkie. What s more! You could also choose to Kayak into the sea or learn to surf the following morning. The kayaking session would be led by top surfers from Covelong Point Surfing School. The best part is anyone can kayak (Swimming not mandatory / No prior experience required). You will be safely strapped on to a lifejacket and accompanied by an expert. Located at Covelong Point (Kovalam on the ECR), the camp promises a relaxing night out with friends, family & kids where you get to camp on the beach, sit around campfire, dine by the beach, count stars & have endless conversations with your loved ones. It s an ideal short getaway for us the city dwellers! Itinerary: 1 Day / 1 Night ---------------- Day 01: Arrive at COVELONG Point Surf school around 5:30 PM. Fly kites, Play Frisbee, get into water or just sip your coffee and watch champion surfers rule the waves. Learn to pitch tents post sunset Dinner will be served at 7.00 pm Post dinner proceed to Madras Crocodile Bank for the Night Safari. Return from safari at 9.30 pm and settle down for an icebreaking session over campfire. After campfire, take a stroll along the beach, listen to some music, chat with friends, lie down on the sand and gaze at the sky and snuggle up into your tents whenever you wish to. Day 02: Wakeup to the sound of gentle surf and watch rising sun turn Bay of Bengal into a sea of gold & silver. Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast and head back home.
