CAD-CAM IN DAILY PRACTICE
CAD-CAM technologies are changing the way we practice dentistry. Conservative bonded restorations are gaining ground as the preferred philosophy to restore natural teeth. The application of CAD-CAM technology not only improves the fit and quality of the restorations, but opens up the possibilities to design and create unconventional conservative restorations in materials, that are highly esthetic, durable and biocompatible. Added advantages include the greater participation of the dentist in creation of the restoration, giving him or her greater control on the entire process and the shortened time in which the same can be achieved.Today it is possible to deliver high quality implant restorations within the dental office in one single visit
This talk focuses on the use of Intra Oral scanning, designing and creation of such restorations using Chairside or lab based CAD-CAM technology, exploring the various possibilities of conservative prosthodontics using CAD-CAM .
